They are a family of five on a mission to help feed children in need. They have a background in health, and recognize the crucial role nutrition plays in a child’s development. As parents, they believe all children should have enough food to eat and the opportunity to thrive. The family saw a documentary on the devastating impact of childhood hunger on millions of children around the world, it inspired them to help. On that day, they decided to start a company whose purpose is to help improve the lives of children and to make a difference.
They created
Cuddle+Kind they wanted to make beautiful hand-knit dolls that help feed children. So for every Cuddle+Kind Doll sold, they give 10 meals to children in need.
The goal is to provide one million meals a year.
The Dolls are made with natural, high-quality cotton because it's important that they're safe, soft and cuddly. They also are super proud that every doll is lovingly handcrafted by incredible women artisans in Peru, providing them with a sustainable, fair trade income.
They first made them in 20" regular-sized dolls and recently launched their 13" little dolls. A whole family passionate about what there’re doing and loves every doll they make. As a way to help Children in need.
Cuddle+Kind wants to spread the word about the dolls so that they can reach a goal of 1 million meals, and feed hungry children all around the world.
Since the launch, over 200,000 meals have been donated to children in need. How will they give 10 meals? Through giving relationships they sponsor feeding in the WFP School Launch program and are able to sponsor the feeding at Orphanages in Haiti through the Children's Hunger Fund. You can read more about how they give at: https://www.cuddleandkind.com/givingbook2015.pdf
