Thought I share my Thanksgiving menu plans for this 2013 holiday. I like to switch up the menu every year with themes or different cuisine. It's a normal thing in my home. Everything has a theme! So this year is no different. This year I am using the season's harvest to be my menus guide for Thanksgiving. Here is what is in harvest right now for November:
Apples
Artichokes
avocado
beets
bok choy
broccoli
brussels sprouts
cabbage
carrots
celery
chard
chestnuts
cranberries
daikon
fennel
guava
kiwi
kumquat
lemons
orange
pears
persimmons
pomegranate
potato
quince
rutabaga
squash, winter
sunchoke
turnips
yams
I keep a bunch of Better Homes & Gardens magazines so I always start there first. I use recipes as a base to my menu when planning any event. I am always change the recipes to make them my own or to eat them the way my family would like. I use recipes to plan the menu that came to my mind along with recipes
from my Better Homes & Garden magazines, advertisements
I found in them, and Foodandwine.com .
My menu this year is gong to be the following:
