It was our mothers birthday so we decide to take her to dinner at Lanna Thai, located in Everett, WA. As soon as you drive up you know your in for a trip to another part of the world, Thailand. The outside buildings doorway looks like a Thai temple that was turned into a restaurant. As you walk up to the building you see two dragon statues and two big wood and glass doors with a iron decoration at the top of the door frame. Walking in you are hit with the yummy smells of Thailand and a wait to be seated sign. Seating did not take long like 30 seconds to be exact. The restaurant has high vaulted ceilings and nice wood fixtures everywhere. Along two of the main walls you can find beautifully painted cultural murals along with a mixture of framed painting and the most decorative mirror I have ever seen, they also know a gong. Lanna Thai has two dinning areas and a full bar, this place is a nice size. Its not to small yet still has that in home feel, well a home in Thailand that is. I would rent this place for an event, it's so nice and cozy and would work well for a nice intimate party. One of the things I really like about this place is that it's family friendly, they have a kids table within the waiting area with Etch A Sketches and Doodle boards. We had a party of seven and ordered three appetizers Crab Delight, Coconut Prawns, and Snow Peas. To drink we had Thai Tea and a Samui Island an alcohol beverage. For the main course we ordered Thai Fried Rice, Chicken Ginger Garden, Massaman Curry, and Won Ton Soup. For dessert we had Coconut Ice Cream and Sweet Mango & Sticky Rice. The cool thing about this place is that they have a royalty reward program and its free! You can earn all kind of fun goodies like a $15 certificate for your birthday and a anniversary dessert, just to name a few. They also gave my Mommy a yummy cheesecake with a birthday candle to blow out. Over all my family and I had a wonderful time and my sister and I will be going to Lanna Thai every time we can when exploring in Everett, you never know you may see us there having a curry dish my favorite Thai food! Hope you give Lanna Thai a try, Tisha <3
