My love bugs have a spring break coming up and my sister and I wanted to plan educational and explorational things to do together as a family. So we came up with a bunch of fun things to do here in the Evergreen state of Washington. We will be blogging everything we do! The plan is to leave Friday from Seattle and drive up to Skagit county pronounced "skäjet", it is named after the Skagit Indian tribe. World famous for its tulip fields that blanket the valley in the spring one of the reasons we are going to the Skagit region of the state. We plan to check into a hotel Friday night have dinner and then go swimming in the hotels pool. We plan to be in the Skagit region for two days. Saturday we will go to the Tulip Festival www.tulipfestival.org then to Americas largest garage sale. I am excited for that, since A4LAA (our boutique) is all about up-cycling. I am sure when the day is over the little ones will be super tired from shopping and sight seeing. Sunday we will be going over to Whidbey Island to go camping at Deseption Pass State Park for two days. I hope to even see some Orca whales and Blue whales that pass by the island this time of year. We are going to explore the Island and see what it has to offer. Its said to be the most beautiful of the Puget Sound area. After two days on the Island we will be driving over to the Mt. St. Helens. Mt St. Helens is located in southwestern area of the state. Along highway SR 504 you can visit the Forest Learning Center, Seaquest visitor Center, Eco Park, and Johnston ridge Observatory. We will spend two day exploring the mountain, then return back to the Emerald City just in time to end our spring break trip with a visit to the Puyallup Spring Fair. Stay tuned readers we have a lot of cool Blogs coming your way. Below are some books I got Ideas from, picked up from the thrift store for under $3! <3 Tisha
