With Marijuana becoming legal here in Washington state in 2013 my sister Aleisha and I where super excited for any Marijuana Holidays or celebrations. This was my first time ever celebrating the joys if smoking Marijuana with a bunch of other stoners at an event. I had heard about Hemp fest in the past but never got the chance to attend, so with things being on the up and up with the long arm of the law I felt it was time to venture off into cannabis culture. I found this web site http://www.hempfest.org and saw they where having a 420 members party, you could also join just for the day by paying $15. As soon as we hit the block you could smell grade A Kush floating on the air, I got excited! Its always a extraordinary feeling when you take part in something historic and that is just what my sister and myself did. At the door we where greeted with a brick of weed and a blunt! In costume that is, needless to say I knew we where about to have a good time! The event took place at Luxe located at 5220 Roosevelt Way NE Seattle WA 98105. The club had a bar area, main room area and a food and smoking area that where under covered tents outside. We made are way into the main room and began to look at all the different venders selling goods and viewed the gift baskets you could bid on. There where a bunch of baskets with all kinds of different Hemp themes to them. In the main room there was also a stage and Dj playing music although I did not get his name, he was in the zone. We made are way to the other side of the room and met Rich he makes t-shirts called Washingstoneia so We had to get one in green of course. You can get one yourself at www.washingstoneia.com I also picked up a Jamaican flag colored bracelet with weed leafs stamped all around them. The next vender I met was Joshua Boulet a comic book artist also a lover of the Green. He has a comic book called " The Green Reerer" and a cooking comic book called "Hightalian Cuisine" you can find all of his reefer and non-reefer inspired products at www.joshuaboulet.com. He was drawing sketches of people for a donation so he did one of the Emerald City Sister's. I love the sketch he did it in like 1 minute and it come out pretty cool. The next spot we hit was the smoking and food tents outside. There was this smell of some kind of yummy meat driving my senses crazy, I was so hungry! I felt a magnetic pull to the food lol. This is when I met the owner of Tasty Batch (her name skips my mind),she had waffles with topping! I love topping and all the many combos you can come up with. My sister and I had a chili waffle and it was so yummy! I loved it, her food is all organic and fresh made. She poured the waffle batter right on the iron and we had a fresh hot waffle! I really enjoy food and food made from scratch. We smashed on this waffle you should look them up on Facebook www.faceboo.com/tastybatch. Why outside I did a little smoking myself and watched as people hit a big ass joint lol. I also was almost toppled by someone who was super stoned, he fell over inches from my body a little closer and this would have been a pissed off blog about controlling your high (he had to be on more then weed). Over all I had a high time and enjoyed my first Mary Jane celebration! Happy 420 people! <3 data-blogger-escaped-br="" data-blogger-escaped-tisha="">
